Guidelines & Pricing

General

  • Each group renting The Veranda facility will appoint one person or designee to be responsible for making arrangements with The Veranda personnel and for supervising the event. 

  • This person will be present during the entire event and will ensure that The Veranda’s rental policies are followed by the renting organization (or individual), and any other service providers.

  • Any additional cleaning charges will be deducted from the security deposit or billed after the event if the security deposit is not sufficient.

  • The renter is responsible for the conduct of all invited guests and service personnel.

  • The renter is responsible for informing any service providers of the scope of their work with regard to use of the premises and clean-up.  This will minimize the potential for additional charges to the renter due to negligence on the part of service providers

 

Smoking

Smoking is NOT permitted inside The Veranda.

 

Alcohol

Service of alcohol must be discontinued at a time, at least 30 minutes before an event is scheduled to end.  All events at The Veranda must end by midnight with everyone, including service personnel, out of the building no later than 12:30 a.m.  No one will be permitted to leave The Veranda property carrying an alcoholic beverage and will be made to dispose of any drinks by law enforcement officials serving as security for the event.  

 

It is the responsibility of the renter to see that all City and State laws regarding the use of alcoholic beverages are followed.

 

Table and Chairs

The Veranda Event Staff will set up all tables and chairs for the event.  Placement of tables will be directed by the person responsible for the event or their delegate. 

 

After any final adjustments to the positioning of the tables, The Veranda Event staff will set-up and place the required number of chairs at each table.  This will alleviate any unnecessary handling of said equipment and prevent undo stress on same. 

 

Breakdown and storage of tables and chairs will also be done by The Veranda Event staff after the event has taken place.  All equipment (rental or otherwise) brought in by the renter must be approved in advance by The Veranda. 

 

The renter will be solely responsible for any damage that might occur to the rental equipment brought in by the renting party (outside rental equipment) while at The Veranda. 

 

All rental equipment must be picked up no later then 10 a.m. Monday if it is a Saturday event.  The Veranda and its staff will not at any time be responsible for the wear and tear of any outside equipment (rental or otherwise).

Event Arrangements

Floor plan and other details pertaining to your event will be arranged at the time of booking.  A list of your vendors with contact names and numbers must be provided to The Veranda.  A final walk-thru with your outside vendors should be scheduled no later then three weeks prior to your event to ensure a successful function.

 

Décor

No decorations, sets, signs, plaques, scenery, notices, posters, banners or flags shall be used or posted inside or outside of the building without the prior consent of The Veranda.  Nothing can be taped, hung, nailed or adhered in any way to any surface of the premises.  Signage must be presented on free-standing easels.  Approved Fog machines, sparklers and colored petals need to be approved by event management. Rice, confetti, bubbles and birdseed are NOT permitted for use inside The Veranda.

 

Billing

A $500.00 (non-refundable) deposit is required for event date booking. We require a $500.00 deposit (non-refundable) for all services at the time of signing the contract.  The balance must be paid in full fourteen (14) days prior to your event.  Any charges incurred during your event will be due at the end of the event.  A 1.5% fee per month interest will be assessed after 7 days post event.  We accept all major credit cards, checks or cash.

 

Cancellation

Cancellation made six-months prior to the event will result in a fee equal to the deposit. Cancellations made less than six-months of the event will result in 50% of the balance being forfeited by customer as provision for liquidated damages.

***The Veranda has the right to cancel the event with at least 60 days prior notice and the full deposit will be returned to the group.

 

Security & Valet Parking
Valet Parking will be provided at no charge for wedding receptions only. They will greatly assist in handling of car parking and logistical issues.  For all other types of events and additional charge for valet parking will be assessed.  Security is required for guests over 75.
